Do you allow children to stay
at The Duke Mansion?
Yes, we welcome children at The Duke Mansion. Each room is equipped with
a television with VCR, and we are in walking distance of three parks.
Are you accessible?
The Duke Mansion is fully accessible with a ramp and an elevator to upper
floors. Several of our rooms have been specifically designed to accomodate
people with disabilities.
Do you have a fitness center?
We have a fitness studio which includes a stairmaster, free weights and
a stationary bike. The Duke Mansion is also situated in one of Charlotte's
most beautiful neighborhoods for walking or running.
Are there any rooms with two beds?
Our rooms have one queen or king sized bed.
Are there any smoking rooms available?
Our entire facility, including the guest rooms, is non-smoking.
Do you have a restaurant and/or
bar?
We have a full culinary staff that provides breakfast every
day. Lunch and dinner can be
arranged with advance notice and planning. We have room service available
for wine, beer and cocktails. The Duke Mansion is located within walking
distance of a wide variety of both casual and fine dining restaurants.
Will I be close to the sights
in Charlotte?
You will be located just minutes from many of the attractions and
sights of Charlotte.
Count on our staff to help you with arrangements and transportation.
I'd love to stay at The Duke Mansion,
but I have business in uptown Charlotte.
We are only 2 miles from the heart of the uptown business and cultural
district. We will arrange for transportation.
I'm a vegetarian, can you handle
my special request?
Whether for a small party or a large one, we will meet any special requests.
Just ask us!
Are computer hook-ups available
in the meeting rooms? Do you have internet access in
the meeting and guest rooms?
Do you have a business center?
We will help you with copying, faxing and other services.
Can you do video conferencing?
We do not have the capability of doing video conferencing in house. We
are happy to arrange it.
Is audio-visual equipment available?
We have a public address system, LCD projector with separate amplification
lectern, microphones and projection screen.
Can I book the whole Mansion?
Yes. We have a special privacy rate which is of great benefit to both
business and recreational guests. The privacy rate includes all twenty
guest rooms, all public spaces in the house, as well as breakfast,
lunch and dinner and meeting arrangements if necessary. A great choice
for a house party, confidential business meetings or a home-base for
a family weekend. Please contact
us for more information.
May I bring in my own caterer?
At The Duke Mansion, we have a full-time chef and culinary staff, and
we will work with you on a menu that is perfect for your event. Consequently,
we do not allow outside caterers.
Can you arrange special services,
like flowers, entertainment, linens, etc?
We can arrange for whatever special services you need to make your visit
to The Duke Mansion, special event or meeting perfect.
Can we use the outdoor areas for
our event?
Absolutely! The garden terrace area, beautiful back garden area and pool
side are all perfect places for events.
Do you have a tent?
We can always arrange to rent one for a client.
Can I have my wedding reception
or ceremony at The Duke Mansion?
While we are unable to host wedding receptions and ceremonies at The
Duke Mansion, we are able to accommodate guests for Rehearsal Dinners,
Bridal Brunches, Lunches and Showers.
Do you have valet parking?
Valet parking is not a standard feature at The Duke Mansion, but we would
be more than happy to arrange for the service if you would like. We
do require valet or shuttle service for groups with more than 40 cars.
What does it cost to have an event?
The costs will vary according to the type of event you are planning.
Can I have my bridal portrait
done at The Duke Mansion?
We do allow brides to have their portraits done at The Duke Mansion,
but the appointments are based on availability.
Can I stay at The Duke Mansion
for my wedding night?
We would love for you to spend your wedding night in one of the 20 beautiful
guestrooms at The Duke Mansion.
Can I or my out of town guests
stay at The Duke Mansion even if we do not have an event
there?
You are not required to have an event here in order to take advantage
of our guest rooms. Please contact us for
reservations.
Are there any minimums for the
number of guests?
We are happy to accommodate groups from 2 to 300+.
Can I have a Tea at The Duke Mansion?
The Duke Mansion is the perfect setting for a Tea for any occasion. Keep
us in mind for bridal showers, baby showers, book clubs or even just
a get together.
