Operations Manager

  • Responsible for the performance of the Rooms Division including Front Desk, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Audio Visual, and Loss Prevention
  • Responsible for short and long-term planning and day to day operations while creating a customer focused environment
  • Oversee all front office operations including front desk, revenue management, concierge, bell/door associates, and valet parking operations
  • Manage all online booking systems, inventories, pricing, contracts, and commissions
  • Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
  • Oversee all aspects of housekeeping operations including managing and scheduling staff, cleaning of rooms; manage in house laundry and maintaining cleanliness of all indoor guest areas
  • Hire, train develop empower, coach and counsel housekeeping staff
  • Conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communication vehicles, discipline and terminate, as appropriate
  • Develop, recommend, implement and manage the housekeeping annual budget
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager and President


  • Minimum: Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management/Business
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Hospitality Management and 1 year experience with RoomMaster Administration
  • Requires experiential knowledge for management of people and complex problems
  • Ability to study, analyze, and interpret complex activities and/or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches
  • Ability to make decisions with only general policies and procedures available for guidance
  • Must possess communication skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence professionals and/or hotel guests
  • Excellent speech communication skills are required to communicate both in person and via telephone and email with guests and associates in a professional and extensive manner
  • Excellent literacy is required
  • Must be able to both assimilate and generate explicit and concise documents for publication within our organization
